Prosetic License RSS

There is no derivation of the word prose that is analogous to the word poetic, so I made one up. That in itself is an example of Prosetic License.

I already have a blog.  What the hell am I doing here?

It’s Jakob Lodwick’s fault, unbeknownst to him.  Jake was a buddy in college, and since he achieved something of a celebrity status with his work at collegehumor.com and bustedtees.com (among others) I often checked in on his exploits from time to time, via the good ol’ webternet.

Jake had posted a link from his personal website to his tumblr page, and I poked around a bit… I thought it was interesting, but didn’t give it much further consideration.  But then one day his personal website stopped loading altogether.  Up came the tumblr page (which appears here, for those keeping track).  What else could I do?  I read more and more, and finally realized that the mechanism behind the great and diverse content on his page was due to tumblr itself!  Brilliant!

I already have a blog.  But it’s not a blog. I mean, it is, but really it’s a place to post essays I’ve written on a certain hot-button sociopolitical issue.  It’s no longer a place to jsut spout off, spelling and grammatical errors be damned.  A place for quick blurbs to come and die.  Or procreate.

So I’ll give tumblr a shot.   Might be what I was hoping my blog would originally be.

Back at my blog, Prose Justice, I got myself into a habit of using the most obscure single word I could think of (read: look up) for a post’s title.  I won’t be doing that here; it’s already hard anough to do that at one site.  I’ll be importing content from there anyway, so why be redundant?

Okay, that’s far too much rambling for now.  This is Kevin Savino-Riker, putting his stake in the tumblr sand.  Let’s see where we go next.
